His real name is not known but, German tourists who unearthed him in September 1991 gave him the name Otzi because he was found in the Oetz valley. For 20 years now, researchers never examine Otzi oral condition. Recently, they examined his teeth.
Using a three-dimensional computer tomography data(3D), researchers found out that the iceman suffered from tooth decay and even had bad breath. These was caused as a result of eating too much starchy food like bread---which was commonly eaten due to the rise of agriculture.
As at the time of Otzi existence, he was 46 year-old and had  never cleaned his tooth. Further research revealed that the iceman could be a warrior or hunter who died in a tribal fight.
